DISCUS 2025 is a major upgrade to the software that helps make great strides in the speed and accuracy of DISCUS. In DISCUS 2025, we’re continuing our development of Intelligent Drawing Analysis (IDA®). IDA® continues to represent a powerful evolution in manufacturing and quality engineering software solutions and comes with several important benefits for you. IDA® offers endless room for innovative solutions and improvements with its underlying AI technology.
DISCUS 2025 is the result of internal and external feedback from more than 2,500 customers. We strive to enhance the DISCUS experience across all of our DISCUS modules.
DISCUS 2025 has improvements that include:
- Added “Top- level” Material Detection to IDA®
- Added capability to merge note candidates into single notes
- Improved IDA® processing and caching to improve recognition performance and accuracy
- Re-enabled ability of IDA® to identify rotated text
- Improved Notes recognition
- Added additional CAD format support

- Added Server Side Improvement to the DLS Internal License Server
- Removed Couchbase from the DISCUS License Server used by Internal Licensing Users
- Balloons now display in the spec panel at all times
