- We enhanced DISCUS 3.5 to support inspection reports that are specifically built to have a unique line for each reported results such as the Pratt & Whitney auto risk form.
Key New Features in DISCUS 3.5
- Ability to Copy/Paste Balloons
- Right-click on any balloon and you can copy the balloon data with the same Balloon number or progress to the next balloon number in the series. Ideal for capturing identical characteristic data across various pages.
- Locate Copied Balloons on Prints
- If you copied identical balloons, easily navigate to them, even when they are on different pages. In the BoC for duplicate balloons, new icons display to allow you to view the balloon placement on the drawing.
- Include Company Logos in the Excel Export
- Now you can include your company logo to your exported Excel inspection sheet.
- Apply Solid Color to Balloons
- In the Balloon Properties box, you can select balloons globally or individually to have a solid color. This can expedite reviewing characteristics marked for Key and Critical, for example.
- Improved Results Output
- With the Results add on, the export to the Default has been improved, removing additional unneeded integers.
- Remove Images Globally
- Select all characteristics to have the image remove from the Default AS9102 export output.
- Flexible Licensing Options
- If your inspectors only needs the results add on, for example, now you can have a license that supports that function.
- Press Enter to Accept
- When accepting data in the Characteristics Properties box, now you can simply press Enter—no need to click OK.
- Improved OCR Recognition of +/- in Drawings
- DISCUS OCR has improved recognition of the plus/minus symbols on the drawing.
- Default Set to MAX “<=”for Max Values
- For appropriate geometric maximum values callouts, such as flatness, parallelism, etc.
- Enhanced Welcome Page
- When you launch DISCUS, the new Welcome page lets you access the DISCUS Website for tips and up-to-date training notices and webinars. Access reference materials, videos and tutorials, and more from this launch page.
